Are the devs at Ubisoftcoregayporn unironically suffering from a degenerative brain disease? How can you fuck a game like rainbow six siege so incredibly hard? How hard is it to be a game dev in general? JUST LISTEN TO WHAT PEOPLE SAY????

I was picking R6 up again after some time and it's borderline unplayable. It was genuinely bad, and I am not one to say something like that quickly. Why would you ever take away the ability to cook grenades? Why do you add so many shitty operators no one is going to play? Just adding shit for the sake of adding it, and taking away shit for the sake of taking it away.

The event game mode is a leprosy inducing abomination, I unironically got sick while I was playing it.

Why do devs just not listen to the player base? Do they hate making money?

I hope a sink hole appears under the ubisoft Montreal HQ and swallows it whole.

They are insanely hard, if you are already semi wealthy then you can buy some assets and scam goys like that drama game about zombies that normies bought at mass. If not and you want start from zero then you are fucked even 2d game is hard to make while 3d game like R6 Siege with a lot of programming that includes netcode, 2d and 3d assets, audio, music, animations, ai, abilities and destruction is INSANELY HARD to do solo you need to be a genius like Davinci or Tesla of or time and you will fail anyway due lack of advertisement and bugfixing and you will waste 10 years on thing that won't bring you any profit JFL. There is also issue with which engine you will be using or make your own (even more work so prepare at least 15 years of your life just on one game). There is a reason why hundreds of people make those games every time, as an indie dev you need to start small 2d game like Astlibra would be a good start and even that took who knows how many years to finish.

Yeah it’s extremely hard. Not just programming functions but the 3D modeling, 3D animation, rendering, and sound effects. Overall it’s a long process. These game take years to make and we only get teasers/trailers a couple months before release.

They don't need to listen if they are big company they will get shitload of money anyway. Only smaller devs like Darkflow (ex Gaijin devs) listen to the playerbase since they want to make game more fun and more playable for the players they intruduced a lot of thing i and other people suggested on their forums. If only they would listen that they need to fix those bugs they have been there for over 2 years like Bipods not working lol, it's like they have really crappy coders but cool creative team and top tier 3d modelers.

I think it’s more of a publisher/leadership issue. They are trying to sell operators, skins, and grow their autismo E “sports” so they don’t really care what the casual players want.

Op was talking about being a dev for a large company, not a solo endeavor. Realistically companies have decent size teams that individually work on everything you listed.
 
I tried to get into pride flag 6 siege but I couldn’t. My brain rot didn’t allow me to feel any dopamine from playing it and you fucking die immediately
