OP the problem here is you view it like "I'll only need to experience it once" as in you'd be protected from rape thereafter.
Women never feel protected from future rapes, it is a lifelong fear, as is a fear of violence if they resist certain men.
This also comes with fear of STDs like aids, and fear of pregnancy.
