I have really bad strabismus.
The only thing that fixes my strabismus is wearing glasses, but the moment I take off the glasses, I instantly notice the shift in how I am perceived by not just foids, but normies in general.
Their reaction typically looks something like this:
Burst out laughing -> Stop laughing and become startled -> Stare at me with a look of horror on their face as if a grotesque monster just appeared before their eyes
I got surgery for it when I was about 5 or 6 years old, which ended up amplifying the severity of it. So the doctors made it even worse JFL.
I can't put the prescription of my glasses into contact lenses because the technology doesn't exist yet so I have no choice but to wear glasses.
I was at the DMV recently to register for an ID card, and I had to take off my glasses for the picture. The old foid taking the pictures audibly snorted and snickered at the picture she took of me.
I think strabismus triggers the uncanny valley effect in the brain.
I end up looking like that one William Afton picture when I smile without wearing glasses, although my strabismus is even worse than that.
---> Video of normie youtubers reacting to strabismus.
The video contains other elements that are supposed to be considered creepy but the strabismus is what triggered that primal fear response in them and caused them to start crying. Although the youtubers are playing up their emotions for the camera because they are entertainers, I am certain that they are telling the truth when they describe the emotions they are feeling, because normies react in a similar way in real life when they see my strabismus, albeit they don't cry out of fear, they just give me the look of horror and tell me to put my glasses back on.
