Yes.Are you sure CRISPR will be able to edit the bodies of people who are already born? I was of the understanding it could only be applied to unborn subjects, sounds quite far-fetched to edit the body of a living adult within our lifetime.
There was a researcher whose article I read recently (I guess he has simplified the understanding of it and made kits out of it for average every day people to buy and try out on themselves or just experiment with in general) and he had a packed to capacity (it was overflowing and couldn't fit all the people in who wanted to hear him apparently) hall/room/auditorium what have you where he was giving his presentation on it and he injected himself with the stuff to prove it wasn't dangerous...or at least not ridiculously so as some other researchers have seemed to want to claim and if it worked it was supposed to improve the muscle mass in one of his arms ie well the arm he injected it in anyway.
(Note: The other researchers fear it could cause cancer ie say if you use it for its purpose ie to cut out your "bad" genes and insert "good" genes or whatever at this stage in the game of the substance's development, etc)
I mean it wasn't supposed to do that in front of the crowd ie he gave himself the shot in front of them once again to prove he himself wasn't afraid of using it and that there wasn't much to be afraid of (if you didn't go crazy with it and be irresponsible etc).
Anyway though he measured his arm circumference sometime later and found out the simple single shot didn't seem to do anything and then told us his readers ie anyone who stumbled onto his page and reads his article that he figures he knows why that is ie supposedly he needs to inject himself with more of the substance over time and that should produce demonstrable results.
If I can find a link to the guy's page I'll link it here in my post via an edit or just make a new post in this thread if my edit time runs out before then.
