Same, I have a condition called Catathrenia. I moan, laugh, hum and talk in my sleep. I am not woken by this but I was on a school trip once and slept in a big hall where all others were also there, or a few time in same hotel room with family. I don't notice it but they do. 77% of people with this EXTREMELY RARE condition (most doctors don't know about it) say they're always tired.

A bit but not quite. I'm much more familiar with my condition but the one you mentioned is MUCH more common. Sleep apnoa is snoring while I moan, hum, talk, laugh..... I won't ever have to worry about it being embarrassing though, I'll never sleep with a girl.

Not really, unfortunately. It's so rare that it's not well studied, my neurologist or ENT have never even heard of it before. I know more about it than most doctors apparently. I could wear a CPAP machine and even then there's no guarantee it will work. I'd have to wear this mask every night for the rest of my life. But come on, this machine isn't fun and it's loud too.

Try valerian root, melatonin, a walking and running exercise and chamomile tea. Maybe your case might be too severe but it has helped me
