Have you ever heard of exploding head syndrome?

Basically anytime i try to fall asleep i hear a really loud sudden noise in my head. It’s super terrifying and makes it really hard to fall asleep, as a result im always tired. Has anybody ever heard of or had to deal with this weird brain problem?

I thought exploding head syndrome was what happens when a foid sees Elliot Rodger.

That sounds brutal though. I have had situations where I was about to go to sleep, but it felt like I was going to fall down so my body panics and wakes me up. Have you gone to a doctor about this yet?

Best thing I could find for advice is this
Fear, emotional stress, or anxiety may also contribute to the condition
So maybe helping manage those might help.

That sounds like a ear defect

Never had that but sometimes I feel like I am free-falling for a split second when I begin to drift off to sleep.

You sure you aren't just crazy and some meds would fix this shit, because there's a limit to how loud something can sound in your head.

All sound is ultimately produced in the mind

I barely get much sleep at all these days, can relate.

I think that might be schizophrenia

go to the doctor

I had something similar where im in state of sleeping and awake and i constaly hear my heart beat grows faster like i am going to die soon

I've had it happen twice before. Interestingly, I always tell asleep minutes after that. My sister claimed she used to see shit, wolf men while paralyzed after having just when she was very young, about 7. No internet to influence her, and later on I learned sleep paralysis was a real thing

No. Sound is a vibration that exists regardless if there's any brain to hear it.
No, sound is the conscious experience. It corresponds to the pressure waves, but they’re not the same thing.
