My mother never said anything like this to me. My parents in general just never said anything to me when it comes to this. They never asked me anything. They never brought it up like it does not even exist. For me, it does not exist. It is something, that I only hear or read about it.

Consider yourself lucky, there's nothing more humiliating and bitter about hearing people talking about you like they expect great things to happen knowing it will never happen to you. Everytime they talk about it to you, you have to be reminded that it's not for you. Which actually ever so increasingly makes me hate my parents a little bit more, but then again they're too naive and ignorant to understand so I do have a little bit of sympathy but it's still a cruel fucking joke that they do this.
