'Softmaxxing' - optimising physical appearance naturally
'Hardmaxxing' - undergoing surgeries or extreme physical alterations in order to change one's appearance

What does the bible say about hardmaxxing?
Aspects such as softmaxxing are beneficial biblically speaking; such as eating good, exercising, etc.
But hardmaxxing; involving physically altering how God made you is sinful.

Our bodies are temples of God, and He says that we should not alter it - especially if it is for "outward appearance". We are caretakers of God’s creation, not free to reshape it purely according to changing cultural standards.

God also teaches us to be contempt with/within ourselves. And with this modern culture pushing dissatisfaction (e.g not tall enough, not handsome enough, etc), leads us away from the biblical teachings regarding being contempt with Gods creation.

It has become the norm in society to idolise our own looks, focusing more on ourselves rather than God. So distractions such as this, I believe are anti-christ - and relating to idolisation.

Also, the self-harm category would fall under the same topic; such as voluntarily getting unnecessary procedures, and harm being caused to the body.

Some scriptures on the topic:
“Let your adorning not be external… but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart…”
— 1 Peter 3:3–4
“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit…?”
— 1 Corinthians 6:19–20
“Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…”
— Romans 12:2
“Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.”
— Philippians 2:3
“Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.”
— Proverbs 31:30

So the point I am trying to make, is that we are to accept who we are physically speaking, and that we should not alter ourselves.

And even after you do get surgeries and maximise yourself through hardmaxxing --> will it guarantee you a change worthwhile?
