Goddamn 40-60% off black friday deal on AMD CPU's

I don't really REALLY need a newer CPU but it will be nice to have. If I get a 12core 24 thread CPU or 16core 32 thread I will be set for the next 10+ years.

I'm looking at the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X (12c 24t) or the 5950X with 16core 32threads

I think you make a good choice, but I’m going to wait for the next generation of cpus and gpus.

most games are gpu bound though, past a certain point a new CPU wont do much (unless what you currently have is quite old)

I will just wait for jewtel and AMD to square up in the workstation chip market so prices drop. I was going to go with an intel w series xenon but recently AMD released their new thread ripper line.
