GOATA—Greatest of all time ACTIONS
Some of you may have heard of GOATA before, GOATA is a movement-based training system designed to restore natural human movement, reduce chronic pain, and prevent injuries by imitating the mechanics of high-level, durable athletes. This directly improves quality of life and will help you on the journey of becoming healthy and increasing longevity. This post will be sectioned off into 4 parts. The first one being the 22.5 Degree GOATA Bow. After that ill be talking about injury-prevention and exercises that help prevent injuries. Then i will be showing the significance of indigenous tribes in GOATA research. And in the end, transformations of people who have have become GOATA. I thought this was a fitting topic for discussion, because i have been seeing advocation for GOATA on social media more and more now and id like to show people how easy it is to better your lifestyle and with that, increase quality of life (translates to happiness). (i know some will comment about how this is cope. Just read, or not. Your choice.)
Part 1 - The 22.5 Degree GOATA Bow:
As you can see on the right picture, the leg is bent outwards.(In a bow shape)
On the right side you can see the inoptimal, inward bent, leg. Down the road, this leg-posture can lead to issues like chronic leg pain.
As seen in the picture on the left, the person with the dysfunctional alignment
has a very bad posture (dont be fooled; posture isnt only how straight your back looks),
bad posture is also outward facing feet in resting/staning postition and a narrow stance.
When pressure boddlenecks up into the collum, the knee should bend out and should, optimally, create a 22.8 degree angle. (as seen in the right one of the two pictures.) This creates a healthy dissociation between the shin and the foot (Joystick analogy). In resting/standing position the 2 orange dots on the shoulder-clavicle should create a 90 degree angle with the bottom orange dot located at the ankle.
Joystick analogy:
Too lazy to continue..
Tell me if I should finish this
