Shit, I forgot about the cases were people actually form relationships. Since I don't think I can attach to people it completely escaped my mind. In those cases, I suppose you could say they're temporarily "needed", maybe? Or, at least, perceived to be needed (this might already be covered as an edge case, but I think it may apply to the majority of relationships, at least initially).

If my thinking ITT holds up, it does increase my empathy for foids/normsluts/non-unicorns. They are either wanted by men they're not attracted to (think gay guy hitting on you), or treated as useless by men they are attracted to.
