Been here less than a year and this place already feels like a borken record.

Getting laid won't fix all your underlying issues but it has the chance to greatly improve your self-image and lift your mood and give you your hope for and joy in life back. A meaningful positive change might lead to more improvements. Or not. Depends on the individual and his exact cirumstances.

But we should allow ourselfs to hope, if that still feels like something we want to do, instead of just on more opportunity to get hurt and disappointed.
