Of course it will and deep down everyone knows it. Companionship and having someone be here for you is a massive boost to mental health. I even saw two guys in my high school specifically talk about this, how ever since they found girlfriends nothing really pisses them off, because nothing matters to them anymore, since hatever happens, when it's done they come home and meet with girls who love them, and that's all they need.
