Civ 6 looked pretty shit honestly, and seems they've gone with the paradox model of making you buy a million dlcs to be playable.

Civ 5 is better in my opinion but I still installed it. Epic Games is trying fucking HARD to destroy Steam. Civ 6 and GTA 5 are some of the most popular non-steam exclusive games on steam. Hopefully steam comes back with some more free games or fire sales.
