Doom 2016 - This game is a balls to the wall exhilarating shooter, that shoots 1st and asks questions later, still need to play Eternal as well

Ghost of Tsushima - Brilliant open world samurai game, to whet my appetite for AC Shadows, loved Sly & InFamous as well

Call of Duty Cold War - Surprised to be into COD after dismissing it most my gaming life. It's addictive as hell and this is a banger of a COD

MGS5 - Back into this, gameplay is amazing but fuck getting S Rank on every mission, why can't they just make these trophies more reasonable

Elden Ring - Soldiering through this but its a slog tbh, loved the souls games, this is 1 of the worst imo, has no place being open world

Streets of rage 4 - What a retro throwback this is and the 2D artstyle and visuals are gorgeous. The antithesis to every open world

AC Mirage - Always playing some AC 1 way or another, this series has been like crack to me, addictive formula like COD and the rich tapestry of Baghdad is hard to resist

Crusader Kings 2: You can get a chad experience with the right traits and stats, appropriate settings like turning AI seduction which can be crazy with nonsensenatic like wives or lovers cheating chad husbands or lovers with some of the ugliest characters with the worst stats, mods, and/or console commands.

Tale of Immortal; your MC can be freaking gigachad with the chosen personality (weirdly enough, it is matter way more than it should and your MC could be treated like incel no matter what other stats or status are; it is bad when basically character less than ants to your MC insult it just from choosing the wrong personality, which is a big issue since the translation of personality can be vague). You can improve the game further with mods and change the personality issue with mods too.

Immortal of way life (觅长生): it seems similar to the game above, but stats are more respected than the personality, which causes the issue above; it feels like there is exploration and there is greater freedom to build.
You cannot really feel like a chad normally since you basically have to simp like gifting npc a lot of gifts for them to befriend or like the MC for more interaction, though it is easier later since you can get high-level gifts, which you can easily get late in the game which can easily get npc to like your MC depending on the level or grade from cultivation; using some cheat mod can solve the issue; I think you might need mods to play the games in English.

Otherwise, I played some indie games on some occasion.

I'm doing the optional missions in the Free Ride mode of Mafia: Definitive Edition after beating the game on Classic difficulty.

fuck that stupid ass game i played it on classic difficulty and deleted it after being stuck on the racing mission for 4 hours. Most of that stupid game is driving from point a to point b and cutscenes

Oldschool Runescape: getting on in the evening to go raid with my friends is one of the few lifefuels I have.

Since I posted this topic ive been playing Metaphor, Silent Hill 2 remake, sonic x shadow generations, yakuza like a dragon, black ops 6. I tend to drift around like this when really I should focus on 2-3 games most. I guess this is why most of us have an insurmountable backlog.

Just reinstalled Cyberpunk once again, the amount of fuckin chances I've given this game would last a lifetime. Everyone's like 'oo its now amazing' but the core gameplay is the same generic FPS, the city and themes are its saving grace but it may as well be COD in a cybernetic skin. I swear this developer doesn't know how to make engaging gameplay, the witcher 3 had fuckin awful stiff floaty gameplay an was essentially qwen shield to win, making its RPG mechanics completely redundant.

I was always saying that CDP are hacks they always copy popular gameplay style slap soulless and empty open world, give it generic story with some very rare but great moments and call it a day. Sorry but you need to do something better than bare minimum with only 5% of the game being good. They are be making a good movies but horrible games. ye their gameplay sucks, you just know when a game feels good and their games don't, they have all this fancy world building and rpg features then you play it and it feels like shit. Yet gamers praise their games like they're the 2nd comin of christ based on their fancy worlds and narratives. Cyberpunk feels like a sub 5 generic FPS, its not even as enjoyable as its counterpart Watch dogs tbh, I know Ubisoft gets a lot of shit and rightly so but their gameplay is generally slick and polished for the most part. It's evident if anythin that gameplay is king, if this is married with solid game design and intriguing story then even better.
