There's no shame in letting go of a game despite 50+ hours investment yet many us feel like we owe these games an obligation due to the time invested.

I'm honestly close to quitting Persona 5 Royal altogether after 90 hours, this game is so fuckin boring and the combat is literally weak point to win and the art style is horrible to me. I prefer the other games in the series tbh.

Witcher 3 and Fallout 4 also spring to mind, I had a tonne of hours into them and haven't played them for years. What games have you dropped or close to dropping after so many hours? :whatfeels: .

I gave up on my Fallout 4's 2nd playthrough. It didn't feel worth completing again with how boring it was despite putting 40 hours in it. I just watched the remaining gay ass cutscenes on youtube and called it the quits on it.

Hollow Knight

Roblox 'Project Obby (Obstacle Course)'

Quite a lot of games I get stuck on the Final boss then just watch it on YouTube feeling like I've pretty much beat the game anyway.

The final stretch of a game is the worst for me, at that point I'm so tired of the mechanics and the last few levels are the worst. Most games drag on way too long so I feel relieved if anything to be done with a game. I don't know how people manage multiple playthroughs considering backlog and how many games there are to play.

I dropped SMTV after so many hours, the dungeons in those games are so tedious.

Cucks praise that game for revitalising the JRPG genre. The fact is, its not a very good game.

Combat is piss easy even on hard, hit weak point over and over, pass baton, hit weak point rinse and repeat. The Royal version is broken as fuck with the addition of showtimes and other features ridiculously easy.

Then theres the boring arse dialogue, this game never shuts the fuck with endless dialogue with its stupid story. This game never fuckin ends, 100+ hours of this boring arse game with no challenge whatsoever. The vanilla version was better without these added features, fuck this game.

I dunno it was ultra boring dropped it after 4th or 5th dungeon. Turn based combat is a snoozefest for brainlets. Only isometric turn based games can work fine. Now i want to try P3R but after a couple of hours it's the same shit as P5. SMT5 was even worse as it has only awful combat and practically zero story to read. Atlus games are surface level (artstyle + music) with no substance (gameplay, interesting plot and characters, replayability, variety).

I would rather keep playing Heretic that just got re-released than any of the Atlus games

Persona 3 FES and Persona 4 vanilla are so much better than the "remasters"

I disliked basically everything about P5R, never played base game

FF VII remake, after I got stuck towards end (I think).

I know now with 100% certainty that games with turn based combat are simply not for me.

Tried Persona 4, didn’t go far but again not a fan of turn based combat.

FF7Remake is not truly turn based. I actually like that combat. But Parasite Eve 1 and old Fallouts did it better.

I'm that point now just beat the 4th dungeon in P5R, the combat is piss easy and the story is so fukin stupid, the game never ends.

After 90 hours I feel guilty to just drop it but I really can't stomach this game for another 4 dungeons which is probably another 50 hours + the extra content. I have Metaphor as well which I played some of, maybe I should go back to that instead, Persona is self torture.

At that point of quitting how do you feel about not finishing a game after near 100 hours?. I suppose we don't owe these games an obligation to finish them, if we're not enjoying them then it doesn't matter if we drop them at 10 hours or 100.

Same, I'm not really a fan of turn based combat, most turn based games are so fuckin boring to play. South Park and Xcom are probably the only ones that felt kinda fun.

JRPGs are horrible and they take a fuckin lifetime to complete with their boring arse dungeons that never end.

Soul hackers 2, the dungeons are all the same and the story became horrendous near the end

I just started it a couple months ago, I don't feel like I wanna tbh, I completed GTA LCS at the beggining of the year, perhaps I'm exhausted of Liberty City

Banjo Kazooie, I literally got all the music notes and puzzle pieces from every level except Click Clock Wood (the last level), but someday I just quit cuz I wanted to play something else... That was 5 years ago, and I'm still not in the mood to start from scratch.

You must continue the game then play banjo Tooie.

I can't finish RDR2, it's too boring for me. I think I was like 50% of the way through with about 40 something hours played.

Wolfenstein the new order, i played it for a while and got to the London monitor mission (Third last mission in the game) it was an obnoxious mission and i did everything right but he wouldn't fucking die so i just deleted the game in a rage
