I think he passes by too quickly for blood to "pool". You have to keep in mind here that if people fall on their exit wounds that the weight (especially if they are landwhales) would delay the pooling, plus cotton garments would also soak some of it up, so you wouldn't see the radius of the pool extend visibly beyond the torso probably for a good chunk of time.
