This is the most common issue that plagues controllers, typically occurring between 1-2 years of usage. Every damn playstation controller I've had has succumbed to stick drift within 1-2 years, never longer than that.

My midnight black dualsense has just pissed the bed after 2 years, just a month after the 2 year warranty expired, what a bastard. So I've had to buy another 1 with 2 year warranty, went for the starlight blue 1 as I like to try new colours.

Sometimes a quick blow or a damp q tip can be enough to resolve it but sometimes there's just nothing you can do after its lifespan. Its a clear fuckin design flaw that has never been resolved since the ps3 era. The amount of money we spend on replacing these controllers alone is a piss take, they should be built to last ffs. We use the sticks more than any other input. I have a backup white dualsense that's still going strong but a fresh controller just feels better. Hope I can sell the faulty 1 at some derelict pawn shop unless they test its functionality in store. I'm sure you guys go through this bullshit, there's no escaping stick drift :whatfeels:.

Hall effect sticks lol its been escaped for years

it's so easy to get stick drift on Switch. sucks dick

I only buy hall effect controllers now.

One reason I'll never buy consoles again. They're all Jew scum for refusing to use hall effect still.

I remember I used to get if after a few months

Doesn’t happen on my pc

The only thing that sucks more than a faulty controller, is a cunt who sells a faulty controller.

You get used to it after a while
For me, it's just another self-imposed challenge at this point, I managed to get Foxhound Rank on MGS3 with a stick-drifted controlled

I've never had the drift on the switch systems, probably because I hardly used it because the games looked like arse.

Thats rough, I suppose it can be still playable in a pinch as the drift can be random. This is definitely fucked, ive tried blowin, rotating it, q tips its screwed.

I'm assuming its the same for xbox controllers, never owned an xbox but every ps controller has given me this issue from the ps3 era onwards. The Vita didn't give me any drift.

Which includes Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo...

Meanwhile, there's cheap $20 Hall Effect controllers flooding the market that mog them.

Stick drift on switch was so bad Nintendo offered free refunds I sent them mine and they still didn't fix it they just sent it back saying they fixed it and didn't even touch it

Controllers are never fixed. They just clean them and hope for the best.

never really had this issue even when i was a consolefag at age 13

Dreamcast had hall effect and the memory cards could play games

Gamers dont deserve anything nice i guess

Come backeru segaru

Yeah, Sega had hall effect sticks on their Dreamcast controllers. Let that sink in.

I like my xbox controllers, so I will eventually replace the sticks for hall effect ones. A bit of soldering and they should be like new.

Some even have hall effect triggers, which is nice.

My Xbox controller I’ve got atm is so busted the sticks are drifting like an F1 Car

I have only ever owned keyboards

£60 is a lot of money as well to replace a controller, that outlay adds up over the years.

It's often shit that gets inside that causes it. I fixed some of my ds4 controllers by opening and cleaning them from the inside.

You need to know what you are doing so you don't fuck them up tho. If you learn and have multiple controllers sometimes you can prolong their lifespan by switching parts, cleaning and such.

just play on pc bro

Apparently you can sell faulty controllers on ebay if you list them as 'parts only'. People list a few for around £20 and some people will buy them, probably as something they believe they can fix to make up the value.

Ebay has tons of listing selling empty boxes. It's shit.

PlayStation fixed this issue with the original 1000 model Vita and then never used them again. These companies clearly know these problems exist but they enjoy all the money they get from them. (sony later removed the hall effect sticks with the ps vita 2000 and replaced them with sticks vulnerable to drift :feelskek: "

Try dropping alcohol well into the analog sticks, if it doesn't work, try WD-40 or better WD that is safe for plastic
