People do tend to "settle down" into their careers and want to start families around that age, but in recent years the trend has been to start a family later in life, which means more "young career professionals" are partying for longer.

You do have to look the numbers and consider all factors, though. If your hypothesis is that there is an increase in partying for the aforementioned reason, and if the data shows otherwise, then you have to look for why there is less partying happening.
