you're childish. life IS COMPLICATED. yes there are stupid people who use it as excuse, but there are also even more valid cases of life being RANDOM and you get shit on for no reason, mostly just bad luck

think of a pilot. in 2019 there was a industrial-wide and global-wide pilot shortage. imagine studying hard to be a pilot from 2017 thinking you will be guaranteed a pretigious life-long job that is paid very well. then near graduation, some fucker in late 2019 in central China fucking leaked a virus from a bat from a lab and fucking CCP decided to let international flights in Wuhan to fly out freely to the rest of the globe, and comes 2020, no more pilot shortage, instead, mass pilots layoffs since flights are cut like 90% from pre-lockdown level. The industry now have too much pilots and laying off and early-retirement so many pilots and suspended hiring new ones.

Unforeseen circumstances don't make life complicated, the fact that things like this can happen is simple, that pilot example you gave doesn't make life complicated, shit happens, that's a simple fact of life

The fact that I could randomly get hit by a car tomorrow doesn't make decision making in life complicated

Also there's a reason why asian families push their children into specific career fields (science and medicine, especially medicine), its because these fields will always be in demand, you'll always need a doctor

So some decisions are more logically sound than others, you can "follow your dreams" if you want, but some career paths are just statistically a "safer bet" than others
