Story Mothers friend complimented another friends son in front of me

My mother was having a party and invited her friends over, she made me sit downstairs even though I pleaded her not to.
Anyways one of her friends brought her son, I think he's 2-3 years younger but taller and way more handsome, I sat next to him, then another one of my moms friends go up and says to him, "you are extremely handsome", and she didn't say anything to me (of course)
It is kinda brutal because it's the first time that dude was brought over the home, while I've known my moms friend since maybe she was 5 and she has never complimented me before

This reminds me of an experience I had a few months back. Somehow it got around that me and this other guy didn't have a girlfriend. This guy was probably 7 years younger than me or more. Another guy said (when we were both standing there) to the other guy he couldn't believe he never had a girlfriend. He said nothing to me. Was really awkward
