In Spain my leftist government increased the retirement age from 65 to 67 and the unions didn't say anything.

Exactly. I’m only slightly right of center myself but leftist governments have destroyed their countries in Europe. See Italy, Germany, Sweden, UK…. They’re all in a big mess
