Serious For workers only - What makes you get up in the morning to go to work?

I have done it for a few years, now you get up early, long commute, go to work, long hours, go home, repeat. Even Chad hates it but at least he has something to go home too. After a few yrs of working, what keeps you going. I have lost all motivation.

I have beer the night before and listen to relaxing podcasts or hypnosis videos.

Morning I drink "italian press" coffee I make at home and a bottle of fizzy drink/mineral water throughout the day.

Without coffee I'd have to stop off at either Starbucks, Greggs or any Barista serving place.

I try to find overnight jobs. I always lose motivation and quit jobs but after a few weeks i start looking for another one so i can buy my Copes like cigarettes and alcohol, and so i can pay for my internet. Its just a constant cycle. Basically i just work so i can get drunk.

I am starting new warehouse job tomorrow from 4pm to 12am, I could be only native person working there as most would be eastern Europeans or Portuguese.

By working night, the difference is fucking huge for me tbh. Wake up in the evening, 6-8 hours of free time and then go to work without having to hurry, use an alarm or be tired. Also, night shift is usually alone and without normies

The few times I've worked I woke up and instantly took my anti-depressants. Then I put on comfy clothes, pissed, washed my face, ate, brushed my teeth, put on work clothes and by the time my routine was done the drugs or maybe placebo kicked in. Getting through the rest of the day was the hard part though

My job sometimes requires me to get up at 3am, be at the warehouse by 4am to take deliveries on a 300+ mile route. It is brutal but it gives me purpose on the days I work and I get some money I can put aside for investments.

Well, I get a salary, even if it's ridiculously low, at least I have a regular income and if I need to buy something, a TV, laptop, stuff like that, I can do it easily.

As much as I loved the NEET-LDAR lifestyle, the constant pressure of losing money in the process was also very depressing.

I just started my job. I mainly work because I need to get my own place at some point otherwise I'll be living with my parents forever. If I don't work the money for it ain't coming. Money is the motivation. I just go and hang in there because soon I'll have my own place and a better paying job.
