Im thinking of getting a cat because apparently they love you as long as you give them food, plus wil keep me company but idk if its worth the money, and there are no pet shelters near me so i cant rescue one, thoughts?

I own a bitch. But other pets I've owned were nice and helped me cope. I would recommend a Hamster or a Gecko

No, I've been taking care of my dad's dog for a while and it's a pain, my mom's two cats keep coming into my room, climbing on the bed and meowing. Pets suck! Animals are tools and food!

Cats are nice to have.

Pets cannot love you, but I guess they're good for company and something to do.

Money adds up over time, especially when they get older and need more care.

yeah I had a cat too that liked to sleep on me, it helped with cope and stopping me from roping

I've had a cat for about 9 years, but honestly i wouldn't recommend it. it ends up costing more than you think and the hardest part is that a lot of landlords don't allow pets, so finding a place to rent can be tough. of course it depends on where you live. having a cat is definitely good for your mental health, but since they live around 15 years, you really need to think through.

My feeling is that owning a pet is a femoid thing

why do you think that in my opinion it would be masculine because you own a creature

holy fucking brutal eye area
Basically Toothless, cats are so fortunate to be this proportionate and beautiful. This are the type of things that makes me believe humans being sinners for real.

Depends, cats are a great cope since they are nice and clean and don't need too much attention. But your furniture will suffer for sure. A small price to pay.

Was going to say it looked like toothless, did you name him that

She’s a foid :incel: and I live at my parents so my mother named here Madame for a old song of a Italian singer… boring. I can call her that still. I don’t hold any grudge to female animals even tho they might act the same in their realm, its over.

:lul: At least Madame wont fuck the neighbours chad Maine Coon

which would you say you prefer
Dogsz because they give you more space and are less "clingy" and far smarter.

I can trust my dog enough to walk away from food on my table and it will not steal it. (Trained ofc.)

Yet cats will climb all over you if you are carrying food! And forget trusting them when your back is turned. (You cannot train them that much.)

Plus, dogs will defend you if they sense you need their help.

would you say you are close with any of your pets? do you think they acctually care about you?

My doggo is super loyal. It always was...

It took a lot of training to get it to not attack livestock - (and get killed for it) - but it was worth it!

Super smart and funny and actually makes talking sounds... Doesn't beg too much either.

She's very old now. Good with the kittens, now.

I have about 8 cats. Five big and three tiny.

Cats all live outside.
how old?
also howcome your cats dont just run away if you leave them outside

Some cats run away, some get killed and eaten by stuff, dogs etc...

Most just wander off for a few days then return for the steady dogfood. Mostly they hunt rats and stuff. That's there job

this thread makes me think of dogpill, not sure why.

but i think a pet would be a good distraction, especially a cat

u could start selling the kittens they make

Yeah dogs and cats are a good cope. Dogs are more openly affectionate and active. Im much more of a dog person. But i guess cats are great too.

u got one?

Depends on how well you can take their death. You have to prepare that one day they die and leave a hole in you that cant be filled.

I still miss my cat and it has been 13 years since her death. She was a real one.

But yeah I cant get over these things so I will never have another pet. Its too painful.

rip.

Yeah, two. One is my sisters. Theyre huge lifefuel especially the small breeds. Just know that they can get seriously ill, so if the animal acts withdrawn, take them to vet which can be expensive.

Only if you're willing to take care of them and spend time doing so.

My cat is the only living being I love unconditionally.
