Not your metabolism, but your body-fat setpoint is the main problem.
You are simply too hungry to maintain a low body fat percentage, be it on 1000 or 5000 calories.
It could be that you have too many fat cells, "numb" leptin receptors or simply a too large stomach among many other issues.
All those factors are almost completely unchangable once you're an adult.

Fatcels are not volcels my friend. Fatcels are subhumans just like the rest of us.

Either you are counting your calories wrong (actually very common) or you need to increase your walking.

Some people feel perfectly satiated and happy at 10% bf.

False dichotomy. You don't have to be either obese or shredded, most people can be 15% bf and still be satiated. When you go on a calorie deficit your body adapts and decreases your TDEE. I know this because I lost weight and my portions have decreased not because I'm starving myself but because I get full earlier

Your stomach volume, your ghrelin/leptin levels and your satiety signals transmitted by the vagus nerve after sufficient expansion of the stomach also adapts to your daily food intake, but people who are legit obese (fatcels) can probably not reach 15% bf regardless.

Fatcels aren't volcels the same way people fed with vegan diets in their early childhoods aren't voluntary weak and frail.
Your environment and your early upbringing is more often than not out of your control.
And if you were raised in a shit environment during your early developmental years the damage is often irreversible.
That's why i think parents that willingly choose to fuck up the lives of their children with fattening foods desERve the death penalty.

It is truly ironic that you need a licence and an examination for nearly everything in the west,
but when it comes to forcing another human into this world the laws are laughably loose.

you're either tracking calories wrong or your activity level is low. start on searching how to find your maintenance calories and track your weight and go from there

I remain at the same weight all the time, even if i eat more or less. Does that mean i have fast metabolism?

Set point changes though, it just takes time. Most people dieted unsustainably to get to their goal weight, hence why they couldn’t keep it.
