I just started playing fallout 3 (will play new Vegas, 4 and 76 when done with fallout 3)

Is the game good? Anything I should know going in? Thanks muh niggas

If you like the Bethesda style games, you will like Fallout 3. You said you didn't player the other Fallouts, but maybe you played Elder Scrolls. There is a cozy sense of familiarity with them

As for some things to know:
-Having a high Intelligence stat is very good
-Except for Educated (a must have), never take perks that give you just skill points. Take perks that actually affect gameplay.
-Focus on Speech and Small Guns at first

give me some guide on how to properly play elder scrolls i feel like the game is too overwhelming for me to get into its been sitting in my steam library for a solid year.

Getting into it would be kinda a hard task for me.

it's good but nowhere near as good as FNV. 4 is mediocre (but shooting is better) and 76 ispure dogshit. F3 def has better map design and more interesting locations than any other Fallout game.

Getting into it would be kinda a hard task for me.

I know what you mean. It can get overwhelming with inventory management and dozens of quests at the same time.

You should have a simple character build: heavy armor with a two handed weapon. Or one handed weapon in a hand, a healing spell/shield in another. Get a bow for ranged.

Focus at first on the main story, do it until you 'feel' you are half way finished with it. Smithing is pretty good and it's rewarding. It's essentially more armor and more damage.

It's good, par for the course for bethesda: nothing too great, nothing too terrible. It's very conventional and doesn't do anything great in the series.

The atmosphere and environmental design makes the exploration in Fallout 3 kino. The story, however, is about as drab as the environments you'll come across.
