Anyone else utterly tired of how many normies pretend to be ND, when they are clearly functional in society with zero issues? I've met so many people that are either lying about being ND when they are obviously NT, maybe some of them even believe it. For example, there was a job event that was supposedly to help ADHD/Autist/etc people into work, which I grudgingly went to. There was a guy that had gotten some sponsored food tech qualification, and he's now working in a big pub.
Now, please tell me how a neurodivergent person can be working in a pub? A busy environment, fast paced serving of drinks, constant interaction with customers. I worked in a pub for like two weeks before having a mental breakdown. I dropped trays of drinks multiple times, was slow to serve drinks, was constantly intimidated by customers and my boss. Why? Because I am ACTUALLY neurodivergent. But this guy, he said, "oh, it's quite easy actually I'm happy to work here". Like, you're an NT DRONE. No truly ND person would EVER say they were happy in a job like that.
Another example. I know someone who claims to have autism, adhd AND dyspraxia. But guess what? They have a big network of friends, they have had multiple gfs, they are successfully holding down a job AND they even do family entertainment that involves actual gymnastic ability. Like, if you are autistic, how are you doing any of this? If you are dyspraxic, how are you doing shit that involves complex athletic movement? If you are able to do these things, does being diagnosed or labelled with these "conditions" even matter anymore? If you are indistinguishable from NT, you ARE NT.
If your neurodivergence doesn't meaningfully impact you in a way that prevents, or at least severely roadblocks you from partaking in normalfag society, you AREN'T NEURODIVERGENT. Meanwhile, these basic things that normies take for granted- holding down a job, having a gf, having a social life. These have been impossible for me MY ENTIRE LIFE. Just because I don't have an official diagnosis yet (I will get one), does that mean that I am less valid in my neurodivergence than someone who is literally indistinguishable from a normie, but has a piece of paper with a diagnosis? Bullshit.
And I'm tired of society trying to rehabilitate me. I'm tired of being sent on courses for careers that I know that I will never be able to succeed in. I'm tired of being forced to constantly job search and apply for jobs that I will never get past interview stage for. I'm tired of society constantly gaslighting actual NDs like me and giving empathy to fake-ND normalfags. Just give me a pod to live in, give me food rations and LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE.
