It's like they know... They know that in a fully-remote environment they lose the biggest reason they got promoted and make more money than manlets who do the same job. These people are scared of a meritocracy. Well, kinda... good looking people still benefit from remote work cause of cameras being on during Zoom calls. However, in a remote environment sub-5 tallfags lose 100% of their privilege. COVID must've been brootal for them.

I don't think they're scared of a meritocracy, but I do suspect that work as a social environment is more fun for them. The people pushing this either treat work as a social environment, or just hate the idea of people being comfortable at work. So its either the cool people at work or the managers who are pushing this. And both tend to be tall.
