Theory Electricity is natural, pollution is natural, and green spaces aren't even that great

Sorry, I know I've been on a bit of a climate trip recently, lol

It's just... impacting me right now in society! Britain, eh?

Anywho, this occurred to me earlier.

Electricity is all around us - static, lightning, etc. Pollution is natural. Every time you light a fire it gives off smoke. Concrete is natural. It's fundamentally just rock.

And green spaces aren't even that great. Like... trees. Great. I was brought up in London. I *love* gritty "urban jungles". I don't have a problem with them.

I'm kind of tired of being told that human achievement is bad and I should be a tree-hugging hippy. I'm just not wired like that.

Human achievement is amazing! Technology is amazing. It's so cool when I watch stuff from the 1950s because they CELEBRATED human achievement instead of seeing us like we're some kind of negative force. Also, we are natural too by the way!!

Anywho, just some thoughts! I'd be interested to hear what you guys think on this

Fire smoke is pretty dangerous if you keep it inside, and it even more pollution causing than coal for the same energy. But luckily we have hydro power.

Personally I prefer greenery and nature, as urban jungles make me depressed.

I never said it wasn't dangerous. I mean, lots of things in nature are dangerous - right? ^^

Lightning, tigers, asbestos, high cliff edges, etc!

Yeah women and weaker men are the ones who seem most opposed to human progress and critical of it.

It's much, much easier to criticise than it is to actually accomplish things.

Electricity is natural, but we just learned how to manipulate it and use it to power devices and appliances. Just like how we learned how to manipulate and use fire to our advantage.

Which wouldn't be a problem if we were still living in cave man times where the entire human population was in the tens of thousands. We obviously don't, and the scale of the problem has gone up dramatically.

Renewable energy and cleaner forms of production are also examples of human achievement in technology.
