Tommorow (or should i say today, its already 12 am), we are going on our 8th election in 3 years. I could write a long post about what i expect and who i will be supporting, but im too lazy to do it. All i will say i dont think there is hope and its over.

Sadly it seems to be a similar story politicswise all across the balkans. The balkans are infested with greedy, corrupt politicians that couldn't care less about letting the tax money flow towards a better infrastructure or generally the well being of their people. Sadly the older generation keep voting for very questionable politicians.

The most harshest example is probably to be found in Moldova.

The biggest thing that holds us back is easily voter activity. In hungary last week, by 11 am it was nearly 40%, here, its around 12.

We are probably in the worst spot out of any eu country. If you thought orban was corrupt you definitely have not seen our leaders, Boyko Borisov and Delyan Peevski, the former is literally sanctioned by the US and UK for corruption under the magnitsky protocol. Last year there were mass protests against them, this caused the goverment to fall and triggering these early election. Former president Rumen Radev who will undoubtedly be the winner of this election stepped down to act as yet another savior (we have had atleast 10 like this in our post communist history) and made his own new party- progressive bulgaria (PB). Overall he is very slimy and attempts to please both europhiles and russophiles and has no real views. The other parties are as follows: GERB - Borisov's party, PPDB- slop coalition of woke pedophile libtards (i am not kidding when i say pedophiles, they had several extreme pedophile and stanism scandals this year) , DPS - Peevski's party, a turkish minority rights party that is easily the most corrupt and dominates entire parts of the country trough fear and manipulation, Revival - a nationalist patriotic and eurosceptic party, and the BSP - the former communist party, now rebranded as socialists (there are more, but they are not likely to enter parliment so i will not include them). Overall, post communist Bulgaria can be described as an extremely degraded society with little to no hope or trust in the system left which is why our voting turnout is so low. Last time i checked at 4 pm it was 34%, way higher than the past cycles but still means we will end with most likely low 40s activity.

As for did i vote, yes, i did. I backed Revival this cycle.

The waves coming from the sea were pretty big and powerful. 1.Joining the eurozone was a massive mistake. We joined with fake statistics (confirmed by the goverment) and everything basically doubled within the first month. I went to several protests against the decision in 2025. I heard your new leader also wants to join it so i only hope that this doesn't repeat (but lets be honest, it probably will).

Bulgaria is a shithole that is mostly used by the so-called great powers for geopolitical reasons. Bulgarian elections don't matter because it is already predetermined I can see being hyped about the elections but not being from a shithole at the same time for example the U.S.
We are dependent on the EU and US, so whatever they say happens. Small weak countries don't get to choose their leaders as we are way too insignifant to have a real voice. The equivalent of being hyped about Bulgarian elections is to be hyped about Somalian or Moldovan elections. It's all meme.
