Dr. K Review
Preface:
A couple of years ago I watched quite a few of Dr. K's videos and I'd like to type out my thoughts about it. I know I'm doing this a little late, but it is what it is.
Before I start with the review, let me actually tell you why I'm writing it.
See, a lot of us incels are struggling with things such as loneliness, social awkwardness, being losers and of course involuntary celebacy. And as someone who struggles with the abovementioned things I gravitate towards content that is about those things so I can cope with them. Dr. K is one person who makes such content. Well, at least you'd think that. I actually find his videos quite useless and sometimes even provocative, which is why I'd like to warn you guys, before you do the same mistake as me and waste your time watching him.
Criticism:
Upon watching Dr. K's videos, I noticed several things:
- Firstly, they just drag on forever and he barely even says anything helpful in them. Apparently, he oftentimes just uploads long excerpts of live streams on YouTube.
- Secondly, he sometimes states IMO bullshit claims very confidently without mentioning any sources.
- Thirdly, the guy's stance on involuntary celebacy and incels is so flawed. It seriously pisses me off. He criticizes incels for having developed a sort of learned helplessness when in reality that just applies to a portion of incels.
- And what infuriated me the most was his "solution" to men struggling with dating... "Just wait until you're thirty.
"
Just wait until you're thirty!!!!!!
Bro.
What the fuck?
That guy is obviously living in another reality. Waiting until you're thirty is a very flawed solution, that does not solve a single problem for me.
Firstly, women tend to like men around their age, whereas men tend to like young women around the age of eighteen. So, by the point you're thirty there's already a mismatch between what you like and what you tend to get. And considering the seemingly growing stigma of age-gap relationships that I perceive, I feel like by that point it just becomes really hard to even date a young woman. Not that it was easy before, considering that as a thirty year-old you're typically not in college, let alone in high school, which I heard reduces your chances to meet young women naturally drastically.
Also: You need to actually persevere until then. For some of us that just isn't possible. Incel-life is hard. Some incels have a lot to deal with and they just can't take it and so they stop performing as well in their lives. Some even give up completely. And that poses a new problem: How are you gonna be attractive to women at age thirty when that happens? You're gonna be outcompeted by your peers career-wise, which makes you less attractive and thus reduces your leverage in a relationship.
And while it might give some guys who don't have high standards when it comes to attractiveness and can maintain their career-success until age thirty hope, I just find it provocative to say "just wait until you're thirty" like it's a panacea.
Due to Dr. K's endless talking and lack of helpful fact-based tips I recommend you guys to stay away from that channel. The video titles might seem very appealing but the actual video contents are always disappointing and might even trigger you guys.
