lol ngl but still 20000 is not a lot tbh for a country with 200 trillion people. In my neighbourhood alone there are probably 20-30 street dogs and no one gives a fuck. Most of them are meek, docile and underfed like most currycels I see everyday lmao.

With the birth of 25 million children each year India accounts for nearly one fifth of the world's annual child births.
The SRS reports show that sex ratio at birth in India, measured as the number of females per 1,000 males, declined marginally from 906 in 2011 to 899 in 2018.

Based on this, that's around 11.88 million girls per year born while there are 13.12 million that are boys.
This means that there are around 1.24 million more males born every year compared to females.
Which means dog bites wouldn't make a dent even if they all target males.
