Idk but most forums seem inactive in a way and standard social media sites are full of bots. You’d imagine with 5 billion people and 2 billion of them being able to speak English there would be much more activity across internet. Reddit is in top 10 respectively and has 6 billion visits per month but top trending posts hover from 20-40k and maybe once a week do upvotes reach 100k. Let’s not mention comments which are usually 5-10% of the upvote count . Am I a schizo for thinking that these numbers are absurdly low especially when you have subreddits with millions of subscribers and billions of visits.

Dead internet theory is real

Apparently 4cuck is in top 100 and top board gets 100k posts per day. I would wager it is probably 1-4k users posting multiple posts across day. Just seems so relatively small when you consider how big of an influence it has had on internet.

Shows how dumb most people are that they just use social media that's it. Forums are dead because most people barely read or write things

YouTube 2nd most popular site in world and trending videos are 1-3 million views. Take into account that the site gets billions of clicks a month.

Subreddits with nearly 1 million subs has 52 people online at a given moment, that’s less than a half 0.1 %. And one of biggest subreddits with 44 million subscribers only has 0.2% of their base online at a given moment. You realize how abysmally small those numbers are?

Okay let’s look at Twitter(X) and trending page has tweets with 40-50k tweets. Whats considered trending on 6th most populous site in world is 50k tweets at a given moment.

Elon musk with around 240 million subscribers and his pinned post within past 6 hours only has 60k likes and 7k comments. 0.03% engagement from his subscribers base.

Forchan is dying a very painful slow death. Twitter is now a far right platform so lots of users probably don't use it anymore. YouTube is still very popular at the moment so I don't want to bust out the schizo theories just yet

Normies are passive consumers of slop. Tiktoks regularly get billions of views.

yea I agree, talked about this with a friend of mine that internet is mostly dead and only the losers of life are staying active. Most people got busy in their lives, fucking sexhavers doing wageslaving. I kinda miss covid when every content was at peak every forum was full, it was fun as hell man.

Everyone is on tiktok, instagram and youtube

the trending tab is more of just the videos
youtube wants to promote rather then videos that actually gets views

notice how nothing there is of pewdiepie
or some other large youtuber

the internet is a reflection of the world
