Does it take a high IQ to understand and enjoy Hearts of Iron IV?

I remember when I was a giga gamer and all of my subhuman autistic steam 'friends' would be playing it asking me to buy it, but it looks way too high IQ and weird with a shit tonne of menu swapping etc. Is it any good though? What about it is so enjoyable? To me it looks like some dogshit boring ass game for roleplayers to enjoy like Crusader Kings. Also is it hard to learn?

It doesn't take a high IQ, no.

If anything once you get the hang of the game it becomes far too easy as any of the major nations, at least without mods. Although I have no idea whether or not you'd enjoy it. CK2 is my favorite game and i have thousands of hours playing it, so you can see it's the sort of game I'd enjoy.
