I checked it out but since it is based in the USA it was super empty because I am connecting from Germany.
Time zone difference is a bitch.
I used to play it with two co-workers and even rented a realm for us. They barely showed up and I had practically built 95% of everything in there.
I have even reached the nether as an absolute rookie and these clowns showed up for a total of three hours in a whole month.
Not having friends sucks. Even my only online friend seems to have ghosted me.

I tend to get on well with games/platforms that have lots of fun games all in one place. That's why I played so much Roblox.
On Hypixel and servers like that there are also lots of games.
As for more vanilla Minecraft... it's a fun survival game for sure but I don't know if that alone could hold my attention for long even in multiplayer.

But... yeah it's harsh how it's being treated these days. But I think 2025 is just this way.
Minecraft was great. I still remember my first survival world and how I made hand-drawn contour terrain maps for that world. However I can't get interested in anything after 1.12.2, maybe it's because I'm getting old
I will be playing roblox until the end.
Most of the time I just follow along with the tutorial video to build the building.

It's even more soul draining when you play with people and yet you feel like you're still on singleplayer mode just brutal
I think it's important to find games that encourage social interaction. That are kind of extroverted by nature.
As some examples, and just to the best of my knowledge:
- Destiny wouldn't allow any meaningful social interaction unless you were specifically in a team with others
- Many games like on Nintendo really limit social interaction, like only allowing waves or quotes. I think it's difficult to do much more than that
BUT...
- Phantasy Star Online back on Dreamcast allowed open chat all the time and even had built-in language translation!
- 2018 Roblox Jailbreak had totally open chat other than censoring bad words and stuff
So... the game has to WANT people to be social. Or you're just fighting the current.

No, he has canceled it probably due to licensing issues with Microsoft. He's said to be working on Levers and Chests, a first-person roguelike.
I still look forward to a new game from him even if it's not Minecraft, since it wouldn't have woke propagana and his code quality would have improved
OK I tried it and erm... yeah. It does feel very dated and also I think MC was really more designed for building and stuff as opposed to action.
So yah erm... maybe it will never be my thing. I do think it's getting on a bit now! But it had its time in the sun and I do see the qualities in it that made it popular with people.

I never had the ability to build anything good. Minecraft has basically no appeal to me anymore. Despite this, I used to be completely infatuated as a kid for some reason. I was utterly obsessed for ages, even when I didn't own the game.
