It's an interesting game because oftentimes it ends up more about simply realistic (or fairly realistic) survival, as opposed to fighting zombies.

To the point where discussing survival in PZ isn't even THAT different to in reality! Collecting and sterilising rainwater, finding shelter, staying warm and dry, stealing clothes and other items from zombies... OK maybe not that last one!

But yeah, I just wondered if anyone has played it and/or likes it :)

bought it and tried a vanilla playthrough, right not looking at the crazy amount of mods that exist

This is some cutting-edge shit. There's nude mods but sadly no sex/rape mods (yet) doubt Steam would allow it.

I've seen a mod for sitting in a chair and lying in a bed so that's a good precursor.

TBH there should be a mod to add new "exercises" like masturbation to combat depression.

tried it once in my potato laptop but it was laggy, might try it with my beautiful machine now, but not sure.

@lemon21 you apparently bought/sold did you ever reinstall?

Looks like we have the sprite animations needed for fapping we just need a hero to implemenet it.

ALSO

def going to try all these out

I'm also thinking of buying it.

Yeah, it's a good game. Realistic and hard. Played it when it initially came out but got bored after a while. Might try again with mods when I get a better PC.

It's the best Zombie apocalypse simulator currently, the other zombie games don't even come close to half the realistic and other stuff this game has. Don't play it just because the learning curve is kinda steep and also because my friends don't really coordinate that well.

I ended up claiming a farmhouse and going fishing, lol

Well, the fishing bit I never got round to but I know how it would work if I did, I think!

I prefer the simple life :feelscomfy:

Yeah the survival mechanics are so fleshed-out that I found myself just sort of thinking about how I'd approach the problems in real life. In most games you need to always be playing by its rules, but it's so close to reality I could just solve the problems normally.

I'm actually not sure if I've found any game to be like that before.

That's why it's so popular, sure it's a pain in the ass to learn. But after that it's really fun

I refunded it, they need to put it on sale for a lower price and incorporate more of those custom mods into the basic game

Some people never happy :p

Dude... it's already cheap enough

I just bought it again from humble for 10 less :)

To be honest regardless of whether a game like this is $10 or $20 or whatever, I think we can all consider ourselves lucky that we're not spending like $70 on AAA games that then also turn around and ask for DLC and microtransaction payments on top of that, lol

A lot of people, like our friend here are not really into games to understand what you've just said. Here we have a incredible game, with developers who are putting a lot of effort and the game is not "cheap" enough. Like i know, i'm poor as dirt too. But we can't just go around expecting magic when you're paying nothing for a game that has tons of work into.

Yeah agreed.

I avoid buying keys on sites like G2A and Kinguin too because if I'm buying a game - especially an indie game - I want to support the developers.

So I use the Steam store, isthereanydeal, Fanatical, places like that.

Anywhere that I know is legitimate.

Steam is just too convenient and easy. You don't deal with a lot of BS, and get great deals most of the time

Kind of but then you have to wait for the sales! I'm too impatient for that XD
