Do you think you are autistic or just lack experience in social situations?

I think some of the tismcels are just not socialized properly. I used to think Im austistic too but going to uni and actually talking to people have cured my non-existant autism. It seems that I only lacked social interaction. I guess if you rot in your room all day you dont get to interact with people. Not saying people with diagnosis arent autistic but theres probably some cels who lack social interaction and havent developed social skills but who think they are autistic.

Self-diagnosed, maybe. I don't think the real tests are that great, but they involve more stuff than just if someone's a little awkward socially. Autism is supposed to be a brain "disorder", if I understand things right.

I just dont want to interact with people. I dont struggle anymore with stuff like stuttering and im not shy but i cant relate to anyone. a few days ago i was out with some old normie "friends" and i was miserable being with them because of the topics they discuss, how they act etc. i feel the same interacting with anyone else

same, over time my socialization got incredibly worse and worse to the point where I barely communicated anything

I think it's both , i might be enough on the spectrum to be different ( i guess ) but most of the time it's just a lack of experience and im 100% sur autistic people often are just becoming more " weird " with time because people do not let them having social interaction.

Autistic people can mimic social interaction until they become " normal " , they will never be normal , but they will learn to act normal.

Neither. I have had plenty of exposure, especially growing up, and I haven't been diagnosed with autism. Despite this, I am still abhorrent at socialising under most circumstances.

I believe I have poor EQ (my dad even told me this directly when I was a child), and as such struggle to emotionally empathise with others. I am also generally very slow mentally and often take unusually long periods of time to formulate sufficient responses in social situations.

I do think I am because I had unusual thought patterns even when I was 5 years old. A doctor this year said it is likely I am autist so he put me on waiting list for assessment although the wait is over 5 years.
