It’s a rather strange phenomenon. Americans have always been heavily armed and, in the past, could purchase any firearm without restriction. Even so, school shootings and mass shootings were rare. Then, in the 1980s-1990s, we began to get bombarded with reports of mass shootings, particularly in schools. Could this be a government psyop to justify restricting firearms and disarming the American people? Perhaps, but I personally believe it's more a symptom of the cultural/social malaise that’s been plaguing this country since the 1960s. Some people simply can't cope with all the contradictions and lies of modern society, which alienates them and drives them to their breaking point and to lash out.
