I honestly don't think so. Race is something too obvious to be ignored. Everyone will treat or at least feel like treating people differently based on racial differences, just like it naturally happens with looks, sex or age. Not only do different races look very different from each other, but their average behavior also differ greatly and they even smell differently.

I think anti-racism is a myth, people will just pretend not to be racist like in the "Emperor's new clothes" story.

Why would your average Laotian person for instance care about race? They and everyone round them are just E Asian.

Then again, who is and who isn't? Part of a race, is ultimately arbitrary. Turks, for instance, are all considered one races, despite it being a huge range of phenotypes in the country. Meanwhile. Serbians and Bosnians literally genocide each other, despite the fact that their arguably the same exact ethnicity, just different religions.

I go to college in an ultra liberal white rich area and its like they are quite racist. White people have to have a fair amount of good experiences to be de-sensitized to curries or blacks but the ones who never interacted with ethnics definetly hate them the most
