The vast majority of people I've come across on the internet who are also degenerate enough to listen to ASMR never seem to actually get the tingling feeling it was originally designed to give, they just like the whispering or the soft sounds. I'm not sure why, maybe it's uncommon. I can force a similar kind of tingling down my spine with enough effort, although if I keep trying to do it repeatedly it gets weaker and harder to do so I can't just cope by doing it constantly to relax myself and feel joyful from it. That's almost certainly not normal, there must be something to who actually gets it and who doesn't because there are certainly people who don't.
