Tbh I barely play on my phone because I don't like the touch controls and it tends to overheat but sometimes I like to play games on my iPad. I can recommend you 8 Ball Pool which isn't pay to win, yes it has some cheaters but that's the developer's fault, I've never paid for any premium cues or purchased coins and I'm quite good at the game. Very few ads which is rare on a mobile game. The game is very popular so you always find people to play with fast.
Another awesome game is Williams Pinball, there's only one pinball machine that needs real money to be unlocked, the rest can be obtained by free doing different challenges the game gives you and getting free parts to upgrade them, honestly it's so fun it doesn't feel like grinding. You can do 3 challenges a day but with tickets (which are also free and the game gives you plenty) you can unlock more challenges so it keeps you entertained. The graphics and sound are amazing, I look at videos of the real pinball machines and it's so accurate. Again it doesn't have many ads except for unlocking tickets or rewards sometimes.
