I know my great grandad fought Japan in ww2 and got shot in the eye and came back home I don't hate him for fighting as he believed the lies of the uk government and he probably thought what he was fighting for was a good future

I had one but I cannot remember how he was related to me. He died shortly before WW2 ended. My family had some of his things from war (from what I remember, a knife and badge) but they sold it on ebay which is annoying.
