When you purposely look for something you last saw back as a kid it's not even that good of a nostalgic feeling. I only get a good nostalgic feeling when I suddenly stumble upon something I forgot in years, then that flashback to good old times hit me. But no, neither way makes me depressed to be honest
I'm more depressed thinking about my future than my past tbh
I get suicidal from imagining all that I could've enjoyed if my genetics were a bit better.

some nostalgic media feels good to remember and then some of them give me a sudden feeling of hollowness as if my personality was erased, I don't know why, it probably has to do with my age or the circumstances or how often I used to watch them, or the general themes

not really, its nice that i made some good memories and not zero. I'll continue to nurture those few positive experiences for the rest of my life.
