I think we are only brainwashed into thinking we want sex because of porn
Nobody is forced to watch porn. Young men are attracted to it because it depicts an act they would really, really want to perform. Merely watching it causes arousal, because it tricks our brains into thinking the real deal is just about to happen (obviously it's not).
Just because we're low T doesn't mean we have no sexual desire. That desire is just not strong enough to elicit a sexually successful behavior (assuming the
is not entirely BS).
Otherwise, women would have very little sex-drive since they have very little T. Obviously they do have a sex drive. Saying that sexual desire is just about testosterone sounds like a gross oversimplification, IMHO.
That being said, if we didn't know what sex is, that is if porn didn't exist and if we lived in a world where sex is taboo, we would probably be blissfully ignorant and not having sex would not be a problem.
It's the curse of the forbidden knowledge, and no, you can't just forget about sex or pretend you don't want it. It doesn't work that way.

Perhaps a more accurate comparison is with that famous monkey experiment I like to mention from times to times :
View: https://youtu.be/-KSryJXDpZo
People usually say this experiment is about fairness, and I suppose to a degree it is, but I think it's also about envy and frustration.
You see, the monkey was initially totally fine with getting just cucumbers, until he saw the other monkey getting grapes. That infuriated him. Watching people having sex when we don't get any does something similar to us. We would be better off not seeing it at all, and even not even knowing it exist, and that's why people don't walk around naked or fuck in the streets. Sex is supposed to be taboo.
