Yeah true. Usually when they are put into high positions things don't go very well.
I often find myself selecting for male doctors and solicitors and so on... just because I figure that... first off women there are very likely to have been hired for diversity reasons and second a man there has been hired DESPITE that, so he must be particularly good.

The de facto mandation of school is the biggest form affirmative action in of itself. Boys aren't meant to sit in a chair for hours on end and take orders from some geriatric foid that isn't related to them. I suspect that any predicitive validity school has with work performance mostly loads onto the more useless aspects of work that shouldn't be weighted as highly in an ideal society.
