As a resident of a backward Eastern European Asian dump, do I have the moral right to criticize British politics? When I read news from there, I constantly feel like I'm experiencing déjà vu. Given how much the British government is concerned about combating extremism, it gives me a sense of déjà vu when I hear about people being imprisoned for their words.
However, I must admit that economically, culturally, and civilized Britain is superior to the Russian Federation, and the average UK resident is superior to the average Russian in these respects.

It depends on what they profess and what they criticize. I was raised in a relatively westernized tradition, it's a significant part of who I am. And as a russian I have nothing but my european heritage even if I'm not fully european descent. If westerners themselves have decided to destroy everything I hold dear in the european culture I feel morally obligated to criticize them.

Yea absolutely. Our quality of life may be superior but there are tons of moral or social aspects of current developed society worth criticizing.
