Some users here suggest that mentalcels are not real. I disagree, you know, I'm something of a mentalcel myself.

I can't hold eye contact and I'm super anxious when I talk to women. I can't do cold approaches and I never asked out anyone at school, it was widespread knowledge that I'm an idiot (I tried jestermaxxing).

I think mentalcels shouldn't be excluded and told to do cold approaches to further destroy our self-esteems.

What i mean with social skills is not being polite, but knowing how to fit in a group. For example, you have to know what traits/people the group dislikes and likes, not shaming the group... Im saying this bc i've seen people which didn't have friends only bc of this. Besides this there're many other rules but this are the basic ones as you can't even have a friend group

I have a form of OCD called dermatillomania and when I am having an episode, I have done things like rip out earnings or scratch at tattoos as my condition makes these sorts of things register as "foreign" subconsciously. It is not that I want to injure anybody but more like a panic and a compulsion that I have to remove things that are "foreign" and "invasive". I have to avoid physical contact with individuals that have something on them that could trigger an episode.

I take medication for it and I do routinely visit a psychiatrist, but it has impacted my life in various ways, such as being required to have an aide follow me around in high school to keep an eye on me.

Unfortunately, this is something that comes up immediately in many cases and while many people who found out about it were sympathetic, they still felt that a relationship with somebody like me who they often considered "damaged goods" was out of the question, and a lot of people have not wanted me around at all.
