There were a bunch of Asians in a particular kind of school uniform that looked less shitty than ours walking around in the CBD. They looked different from the other kinds and when I evesdropped on them walking past I heard them say shit like "desu" and "sugoi" completely unironically. Pretty sure these are real Japanese people.
Not sure why Japanese high school girls don't look like they do in anime but I'm pretty disappointed. Not sure why weebcels have felt the need to mislead us. On the bright side, they have the feminine mannerisms on point with maybe a bit more venomous sarcasm.
