My extended family (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.) liked me when I was a cute little kid (before age 9 let's say) and I still had a bouncy, talkative personality. I think they assumed I was going to turn out to be a normie like them when I got older. But as soon as I hit adolescence (age 12), when I became quiet and self-conscious (due partly to school bullying and partly to my crappy mental health genetics), they noticeably didn't like me as much anymore, if at all. I think they could sense I was going to be an incel virgin loser. And they haven't contacted me or had anything to do with me in over 20 years now (I'm over 35 now). I'm dead to them.
And when I saw my cousin at the fair from a distance a few years ago for the first time in like 20 years, she gave me the ugliest death look ever and quickly turned around. Then I saw her again there and she was trying not to look at me, but had a sour expression on her face. She LOVED me when I was 6 years old.
