Since childhood, I had chronic respiratory problems that forced me to breathe through the mouth instead of the nose.

My parents were aware of it, and it was quite impossible for them not to be aware of it, because my mouth was open, I was constantly grunting, snoring during sleep, etc.

But my father didn't care and my mother dismissed it as normal because she had the same respiratory problems and was a mouth breather as well.

I only realized the detrimental effect of mouthbreathing on facial development in my late teens, but it was too late. I gave up on "mewing" because the damage was already done and I was too messed up to do it properly anyhow.

The more ridiculous thing is, my parents do not see anything wrong with my receded lower third, because guess what, they also have the mouthbreathing face.

I can forgive my parents for not giving me Chad genes, but neglecting your child to the extent of impairing their physical development is completely their fault and I resent them for it.

i did for periods of time througout my life and still catch myself doing it from time to time

yeah, every single part of my face's recessed and elongated

Sometimes because I had allergies and was congested most of the times

My airway is narrow because of my recessed mandibula. İ snore always. Surgery is the only solution for it probably.

No but I am still have recessed bone structure and elongated face because of my Asian gene.

no it feels retarded

No

The single thing i have done okay

My whole childhood. I had deviated septum since birth that makes it almost impossible to breathe thru nose, i undergone nose surgery and that is fixed now, but the damage was done.
I have recessed mandible that destroyed my TMJs, gave me a forward head posture and messed up my spine on structural level.
I cant blame my parrents tho... they are to mainstream and dont understand how this is all connected. They are from a diffrent time

I have to mouth breath at night. I've done so for 7+ years.
I have sleep apnea, I am on a waiting list to get a hospital appointment for it.

Yep. Had to force myself to stop.

yes, yes I did, and now I am slack jawed

I grew up very sedentary so I was nose breathing pretty much all the time and yet I still ended up with a leafy tier side profile so I don't think it matters

Deviated septum here. Found at 30 years old

I wonder if my face would have been a bit more acceptable with braces at the right time...

Yes and I still do it due to my nose being constantly obstructed by some shite

I have mouthbreathed all my life because of my breath and nose problems

No, I was never a mouth breather and I still have a long and recessed face

I'm noticing a pattern here
I've always been considered a "healthy individual" although "really strange/erratic", which right off the bat is a weird contradiction. I always walked around hunched, mouth breathe, and had scoliosis. I requested x-rays from my spine from time to time (and more detailed over time too), to see how it progressed. Eventually, one of the reports suggested to take a look at the legs, to see if there is any difference between them, although this report was not considered a valid medical prescription on its own.

In mid-2023 after MUCH insistance, I finally got a prescription from a health professional and ... voila. I found that my left leg was shorter than the right, which was fucking up the entire posterior chain. In 2025, I investigated a weird pain I had in the left jaw. Not only did I found out that my mouth was asymmetrical (it made my face deformed-looking), I also had a horribly deviated septum that didn't let me breathe properly (this explains the mouth breathing). Finally in 2026, I was diagnosed with sleep apnea.

Why am I talking about this stuff? Because the symptoms of these physical conditions can be mistaken for symptoms of neurodivergent conditions - walking hunchbacked, mouth breathing, not having enough energy during the day due to lack of sleep, dark bags under the eyes, not being able to pay attention to things, and so on.

I have since fixed or mitigated some of these issues, and I intend to get tested for autism/adhd later this year, because I'm obsessed with data and the truth; I want to truly know what happened and why so I can die in peace knowing these things weren't my fault. Although I would like to get some kind of benefit/support as well if possible.

TL;DR to truly know the truth, you have to make sure you don't have other health conditions that could be interpreted/mistaken for autism. However, if your objective is to obtain the govt benefits to get by, you could shoot your shot I suppose

Yeah, I guess that I have overly enlarged tonsils because I have been a mouth breather my whole life. Kids at school would mock me for breathing too loud and my parents would always complain how loud I snored when we would share a hotel room when traveling

Yes I do. I have no idea why the fuck I did that. Maybe around age 22 or 23, I was like why the fuck am I mouth breathing. I only breath from my nose now. It was genuinely retarded because I was a red pill health/fitness fag from 16-23 and it never occurred to me I should learn to breath from my nose
